The Water Process Engineer/Scientist will be responsible for assembling and operating laboratory-scale and/or pilot-scale systems for testing granular sorbents. These systems will include, but may not be limited to, flow-through packed-bed column systems commonly known in the water treatment field as rapid small-scale column tests (RSSCTs). The Water Process Engineer/Scientist will prepare laboratory waters for testing, collect natural waters from water treatment plants, interact with water treatment plant personnel to coordinate water collection, perform basic water quality tests (e.g., pH, conductivity, organic matter content), collect and ship water samples, interact with internal and external personnel to coordinate analytical testing of water samples, analyze data, and prepare reports.
