General Responsibilities: The Technical College of the Lowcountry is seeking an experienced HVAC expert with a passion for the industry and a desire to educate future HVAC professionals for the position of HVAC Instructor at the College's new, state of the art HVAC training lab on the Bluffton New River Campus. The HVAC Instructor is responsible for the delivery of quality instruction for the next generation of HVAC installers and technicians. He or she will work with local school districts to introduce the HVAC profession to high school students and to provide dual enrollment opportunities. He or she will engage the local industry to ensure the college's Bluffton New River HVAC program is meeting current and future industry need. Responsibilities occur in the areas of instructional development, teaching performance, student advisement, professional development, college/community service, and instructional management. The HVAC instructor reports directly to the Division Dean for Business & Industrial Technology.
Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in appropriate discipline, bachelor's degree preferred. NATE certification preferred. Certification in Heat Pump and universal EPA required.
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00 am until 5:30 pm; Friday 8:00 am until 11:30 am
