35 Openings. Temporary-Full time. 1/09/18 – 11/09/18. Southern Refractories Inc., Southlake, TX. Workers will perform under close supervision and be expected to assist in laying and aligning bricks, blocks, or tiles to build or repair structures or high temperature equipment, such as cupolas, kilns, ovens, or furnaces; form refractory mixtures; break or cut bricks, tiles, or blocks to size, using trowel edge, hammer, or power saw. Fasten or fuse brick or other building material to structure with wire clamps, anchor holes, torch or cement; calculate angles and courses; remove excess mortar with trowels and hand tools and clean working surfaces to remove dust or mortar. Must perform physical activities that require climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials, lift 75 lbs. & pass a pre-employment drug test, paid by the employer. 35 hrs/wk on average 7am-4pm with some O.T., but work schedule varies during the week Mon-Sun with possible weekdays off depending on project schedule. Starting times vary based on customer’s needs. $21.75/hr., possibility of O.T. varies at $32.63/hr. Must be available 24/7 for emergency repairs. 3 months verifiable experience required. Transportation (including meals and to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the workers completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. All work tools, supplies & equipment provided at no cost. Transportation provided from main office to the various work locations in multiple cities within Collin, Dallas, Ellis, Johnson, Kaufman and Tarrant Counties.
