Technical Assistance Coordinator/Infant and Toddler Specialist

Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Technical Assistant Coordinator/Infant and Toddler Specialist for the Eastern Shore Child Care Resource Center, a part of the Early and Elementary Education Department. This position is housed in the Wye Mills office of the ESCCRC.
Primary Job Duties: Provide technical assistance to child care providers and individual and group coaching to teachers of infants and toddlers. Technical assistance includes coaching and mentoring related to credentialing, continuing education, professional planning, and other topics.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field and 3-5 years of work-related experience of which 1-3 years of experience must be in child care setting. Ability to communicate effectively with childcare community.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral & written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) is required.
Preferred Qualifications: 3 or more years of experience in child care setting. Experience teaching adult learners a plus.
This is a full-time, exempt, Contingent II (long-term contractual), position with a limited benefits package including medical, prescription, dental, paid leave, tuition remission and more. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
