Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Compensation & Total Rewards Program Manager in the Office of Human Resources.
Primary Job Duties: Provide professional level hands-on and day-to-day management for the staff and faculty Compensation Pay Programs and employee recognition activities, as part of the University's Total Rewards Program. Responsible for program management to include, but not limited to, ensuring appropriate policy application and adherence to consistency and equity across campus, process timeline, documentation, and reporting, timely program updates and compliance with applicable labor laws. Additional duties include formulating recommendations based on salary analysis, data analytics, and modeling; support market salary survey submissions; as well as provide position evaluations and recommendations for new and current positions. Provides advice, training, and support to HR Administrators and the University community, as appropriate, in the application of compensation and classification management principles, guidelines, procedures, and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications: Five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field as well as compensation and classification experience are required.
Working knowledge of federal and state labor, wage and employment laws. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines, regulations, policies and procedures. Knowledge of organizational structure, staffing patterns, and job design; job analysis and job evaluation principles, methods and procedures; and compensation administration principles and procedures. Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in a high energy, fast paced setting and work well under pressure, work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management; PHR or SPHR certification; HRIS/ERP and query experience; HR experience in a higher education setting is a preferred.
This is a full-time exempt State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
