Business Manager – College of Health and Human Services

Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Business Manager in the College of Health and Human Services.

 

Primary Job Duties: Manage business affairs for the College of Health and Human Services - including the Dean's Office; Schools of Health Sciences, Nursing, and Social Work; Center for Health Community; and Henson Medical Simulation Center; this includes management of fiscal resources, efficient use of personnel, and leveraging analytics to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Support budget development process while monitoring accounts and expenses for State of Maryland, SU Foundation, and externally funded accounts. Ensure operational process efficiency, accuracy, and accountability, to include but not limited to, preparation of contracts, letters of appointment, reimbursement and travel document submission, purchasing process, etc., as well as operational coverage by monitoring work hours and leave taken within the school. Deploy and support training in analytic platforms like APS to ensure efficient use of personnel, physical resources, and student access to classes.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field and 5-7 years of work experience.

 

Must be detail-oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritizing, problem-solving, follow-through, time management, and oral & written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. Ability to learn and work in analytic platforms like EAB APS.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Higher education or University System experience supporting dean-level or multi-unit administration is preferred. Experience in PeopleSoft or Workday and GullNet applications and reporting is preferred.

 

This is a full-time exempt State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
