Administrative Assistant II -ESCCRC

Salisbury University, a member of the University System of Maryland, is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering 62 distinct graduate and undergraduate programs. Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant II, with the Eastern Shore Child Care Resource Center. 

Primary Job Duties: Under general supervision, provides complex administrative support to the Program Director and staff of Eastern Shore Child Care Resource Center (ESCCRC). Work requires comprehensive knowledge of the ESCCRC and will work with grant funding agency and university policies, procedures, and confidential matters. Incumbent will need to exercise tact, discretion, and good judgement.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. 3 years of direct administrative support experience.  Skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher.

General knowledge of and skill in practical application of generally accepted office practices and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to proofread and edit written documents. Skill in various computer software packages, such as word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation programs. Internet, email and calendaring software. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to interact effectively with internal and external parties in a courteous and efficient manner. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with general instructions. Ability to project a professional and positive image of the ESCCRC and institution.

Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree. Experience with PeopleSoft and Microsoft Teams is preferred. Working experience in higher education.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, Contingent II (long-term contractual), position with a limited benefits package including medical, prescription, dental, paid leave, tuition remission, and more. Starting salary will be $18.81 per hour which is approximately $39,232.00 annually.
