Program Specialist, Early Learning
Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD) seeks a detailed-oriented Program Specialist to provide on-going and responsive administrative and technical support in a fast-paced, multi-program environment for the System & School Improvement (SSI) Team of the Learning, Teaching and Family Support Department (LTFS).
The SSI Team consists of three (3) programs: K-12 school improvement, K-12 English Language Arts, and P-3 systems which supports curriculum and instructional efforts of our regional school districts, including professional development and coaching, instructional and leadership strategies, and curriculum-specific training.
PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts, charter schools and state-approved private schools in Washington. Educational Service Districts, created by the legislature, are an essential regional delivery system for early learning and K-12 services in the state. Qualifications
- High School/GED Equivalency
- Professional administrative support experience
- Experience with MS Word and MS Excel in a professional setting
- Experience working with databases
- Strong writing skills
Preferred Qualifications
(Cover letter and/or resume should specifically address any experience meeting the preferred qualifications)
- Experience monitoring and reporting multiple budget expenditures
- Experience with event planning, logistics and coordination (meetings, workshops, conferences)
- Experience supporting multiple projects with varied timelines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience working in a school district or other educational organization
This is a union-represented position. Salary: Minimum $21.89/hour. Candidate offers consider experience, qualifications and internal equity. Schedule: Full time, year ‘round. Pre-employment testing is conducted prior to interviews.
