STAFF NURSE I - NEW GRAD
Natividad may offer up to a $5,000.00 sign-on bonus to candidates hired into a permanent full-time position and upon promotion to Staff Nurse II (Estimated period, 6 months).
Natividad is accepting applications for Staff Nurse I - New Grad in various units. The Staff Nurse I – New Grad is a New Graduate with no professional Registered nursing experience. Under supervision of the Supervising/Charge Nurse, the incumbent performs professional nursing duties in the care and service of patients and their families; provides direct and indirect patient care in the inpatient care setting; provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility in a professional and timely manner; and communicates with physician or charge nurse about changes in patient status and results of abnormal diagnostic tests. The Staff Nurse I is expected to work at the full scope of their licensure providing clinical care with a deceasing amount of supervision.
This is the entry-level in the professional Staff Nurse series. Incumbents are recent graduates of nursing schools. Under close supervision, incumbents perform routine patient care assignments and receive comprehensive in-service training. They are expected to promote to the journey level of Staff Nurse II after acquiring the appropriate experience and demonstrating satisfactory performance. This position is distinguished from the next higher level of Staff Nurse II in that the latter is expected to perform the full range of nursing duties with minimal supervision and only periodic in-service training.
Requires a valid CA RN License or a valid CA RN Interim Permit.
