Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS), is accepting on-line applications for the position of SAP Architect, Office of Application Development and Client Support. Minimum salary is $110,000. Must use Internet Explorer.
Occupational Summary: The functions of an SAP Architect is to provide technical and functional expertise to develop, analyze and define software strategies and determine technical inadequacies and identify and correct deficiencies that affect the functional areas and technical scope of the areas of HCM, U.S. Payroll, Concurrent employment a plus.
Example of Duties:
1. Provides expert level development support for highly complex programs related to SAP Human Capital Management (HCM), including analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and object transports using SAP related tools.
2. Configuration of U.S. Payroll Schema and Sub Schemas.
3. Applies SAP support packages, software patches and system refreshes.
4. Utilizes effective procedures for improvement of applications and integrates technical and application components.
5. Defines resources and schedules for projects/program implementation.
6. Provides guidance to complex programming issues, design, specification, testing and implementation of new functionality within SAP.
7. Provides expert day-to-day support of the SAP systems.
8. Writes functional specifications for enhancements/modifications to ABAP programs.
9. Utilizes MS-Excel to analyze payroll and related data.
10. Adheres to ERP project standards and configures SAP application settings according to M-DCPS requirements and advises Information Technology (IT) leadership on SAP best practices, technical issues and roadmaps.
11. Mentors staff and interfaces with business stakeholders, IT technical and functional teams.
12. Conducts workshops and presentations to facilitate continuous improvement in the design.
13. Able to support a 24/7/365 enterprise.
14. Performs other duties as related to general administrative responsibilities of the position.
Physical Requirements: This work requires the following physical activities: sitting, mobility, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity. The work is performed primarily indoors.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
2. SAP certification preferred.
3. In-depth knowledge of SAP systems landscapes and modules, SAP administration standards, policies and procedures.
4. Strong with writing detailed SAP functional and technical specifications.
5. Minimum of ten (10) years' experience implementing, configuring, extending and supporting SAP applications and/or modules and/or system administration in one or more of the following areas: Payroll
6. Minimum seven (7) years' experience at the senior level with SAP Concurrent Employment, in one or more of the following areas: K-12 implementations, Payroll (Tax, Deductions, etc.) Benefits (Affordable Care Act, etc.) Human Resources Finance modules.
7. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
