ELECTRICIAN
Lydall, Inc. designs and manufactures specialty engineered non-woven filtration media, technical materials, industrial thermal insulating solutions, and thermal and acoustical barriers for filtration/separation, heat abatement and sound dampening applications. The Performance Materials segment includes filtration media solutions for air, fluid power, and industrial applications (‘‘Filtration’’), air and liquid life science applications (‘‘Life Sciences Filtration’’), and thermal insulation solutions for building products, appliances, and energy and industrial markets (‘‘Thermal Insulation’’). The Performance Materials business segment employs approximately ~350 employees and operates in New Hampshire, New York, France and The Netherlands.
The Green Island, New York location is searching for an electrician. The right candidate should have prior experience working in a manufacturing environment and have completed a formal apprenticeship program in an electrical field and/or completed an equivalent in-house three-year training program. Three to five years of experience with instrumentation and controls is a plus. The job functions include scheduled and emergency repairs to manufacturing equipment as well as electrical installation, calibration and inspection work. Must be able to analyze and correct problems by referring to manuals, drawings and wiring diagrams. Other essential functions of the job will include performing preventive maintenance procedures and performing startups and shutdowns in compliance with site safety procedures. The hours of work are from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The ability to respond to occasional off shift emergency breakdowns is essential.
