The Indigo Run Chief of Security is charged with the responsibility of protecting life and property. Decisions required are based on federal, state and local laws, and Indigo Run COA governing documents requiring sound judgment. The primary function of this position is to make these decisions and judgments on a daily basis.
This position also manages a team of highly skilled officers and supports the General Manager and Board of Directors in pursuit of the guidelines of the community. The Chief of Security should have a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Police Administration or related field and 10 years' experience in command level law enforcement supplemented with substantive training/education in management/administration. A high school diploma or GED is required. Current SLED LeveI-III Security Officer Registration Certificate required. Successful completion from a certified law enforcement academy is required.
