Behavior Specialist
Permanent 10-month position available beginning August 2019; Master's Degree and Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certificate obtained through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or Current PA Behavior Specialist License required; experience as a behavior specialist in a school setting preferred; Current Child Abuse, Criminal History, and FBI Clearances required.
Position Summary/Goal: To support the development and implementation of programs to remediate behavioral and social problems for students with disabilities, including; autism, social emotional disabilities, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and other categories of eligibility.
Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s Degree

Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst certificate obtained through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB); or Hold a current license for Behavior Specialist in the State of Pennsylvania

Experience as a behavior specialist in a school setting preferred

Have a working knowledge and experience in SWBS, RtII/MTSS, and LFS

Ability to follow through with directives, rules and district initiatives

Ability to build partnerships with community organizations

Ability to effectively lead/facilitate group processes

Demonstrates effective collaborative planning practices, and effective teaching routines for both school age and adult learners

Ability to develop and implement behavior intervention plans, classroom management systems, and reinforcement systems.

Strong and effective communication skills

Clearances - Current Child Abuse, FBI and Criminal Record, required
