Start Date: October '19 Pay Range: $15.86-18.75 / Hr DOE
Description CityParking Inc. is a parking operator in Richmond & Norfolk. Family-owned since 2004, our team is made up of energetic problem solvers in a fast-growing company. The Parking Controls Supervisor will manage our enforcement team that includes but not limited to location patrols, citation issuance, and providing excellent customer service. Through data analysis, the Supervisor will prioritize routes, recommend rate changes, and work with leadership on ensuring goals and objectives are being met. Strong written communications skills are valued.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by answering questions regarding directions, events, building locations, and parking policies.
- Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance utilizing smart phone & bluetooth printer.
- Schedule and supervise employees.
- Train staff in work procedures, counsel employees regarding work performance, participate in performance evalutaions, and prepare documentation of disciplinary problems.
- Ensure that staff is in compliance with company operating procedures and policies regarding professionalism, uniforms, and grooming standards.
- Review field reports to monitor productivity levels and make recommendations to improve performance.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports, including various parking statistics.
- Attend to a variety of office administrative details such as arranging for the repair of equipment, effectively communicating information, and keeping reference materials up to date.
- Complete regular inspections of lot and complete required documentation.
- Coordinate events with proper staffing, signage, rates, etc..
- Knowledgeable of operational objectives, policies and standard operating procedures.
- Assist maintenance team with duties related to parking equipment and facility upkeep and maintenance. This includes but not limited to: inspecting and assessing lots for maintenance issues, waiting, cleaning and repairing pay kiosks, and installing signage.
- Assist in the collection and security of monies received through pay kiosks.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions.
- Ability to use a smartphone, tablet, and desktop computer.
- Ability to operate a motorized vehicle.
- Ability to understand and apply parking regulations.
- Ability to apply commons sense understanding to carry out detailed but standard written or oral instructions.
- Ability to interact with others in a courteous manner.
- Ability to respond positively to customer problems or complaints.
- Ability to adapt to changes in work environment, able to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events.
- Ability to walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Availability
- Must be flexible in terms of hours and days worked. Evenings and weekends may be required.
Driver's License
- Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record. Must have access to personal vehicle.
Work Environment
- Employee is required to stand, walk, use hands, talk and listen. Employee will be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including inclement weather & heat. May be asked to lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds.
