Community Development Department is accepting
applications for a Project Compliance Inspector. Will perform a variety of advanced engineering technical support tasks for the inspection of streets, intersections, storm sewers sanitary sewers, water mains, erosion control, land distribution, electric utility distribution, street lighting system design work and/or other construction projects. Ensures public safety and coordinates traffic control for capital improvement projects. An Associate’s degree in Civil Technologies, Construction Management, Engineering, Drafting or a related field is preferred. A minimum of three years of related experience is required and prior experience with construction management is preferred. Must maintain a valid driver’s

•Inspect methods and materials used by contractors to construct a variety of commercial and residential construction and capital improvement projects; ensure conformity with designs, plans, and specifications.
•Administer contracts and construction plans for engineering improvement projects and rehabilitation of roadways, bridges, sanitary sewers,
storm drains or sidewalks.
•Assess and ensure compliance and safety of projects and identify plan specific deviations.
•Coordinate traffic control for all improvement and rehabilitation projects.
•Inspect civil construction projects such as sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water mains, roadways, bridges and sidewalks; maintain project documentation and environmental compliance.
•Provide information to engineers, contractors, developers, utility company personnel and others to ensure adherence to proper standards, regulations and codes.
•Inspect land disturbance and erosion control issues at construction sites to ensure compliance with applicable codes, ordinances and regulations.
