Residential Account Manager
Job Summary: Under general direction, the Account Manager is the consistent Christy Webber Landscapes' representative that clients trust. The AM ensure that company's quality and customer service standards are consistently achieved through proper account management. This includes, but is not limited to, sales, estimating, budgeting, invoicing and quality control through management of horticultural practices and site personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Develop and capture new business.
- Build a strong customer base by identifying prospective clients, while creating relationships to generate referrals with new and existing clientele.
- Actively educate clients on best management practices and perform regular property walk-throughs to identify services to improve the site.
- Prepare and present estimates/proposals to prospects and/or existing clients.
- Identify upsell opportunities at each site to maximize sales and to keep each site looking its best on behalf of the customer.
Adhere to Christy Webber Landscapes customer service standards to ensure excellent customer service and maximize overall client satisfaction.
- Serve as the customer service liaison and advocate between managers, clients, and field team members.
- Conduct regular walk-throughs with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and audit quality of services provided.
- Present a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
Work within designated deadlines and budgets, manages jobs, personnel and supplies to maximize company financial health.
- Assist in scheduling, overseeing, and planning field operations in conjunction with the field supervisor to achieve the client's expectations which complying with all company policies/procedures and safety regulations and adhering to contract specifications.
- Monitor job profitability by customer and site.
- Monitor quality of maintenance sites and communicate issues to the appropriate field supervisor and customer when necessary.
- Monitor hours used vs budgeted hours for each site throughout the season and communicate with the appropriate field supervisor when needed.
EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE:
- A degree in horticulture, landscape construction or related from an accredited college or university.
- Prior Snow experience is desirable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Horticultural knowledge and proficiency with landscape operations is a must.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and capable of working in a team environment is required.
- Must be able to work with designated field staff to meet or exceed the company and client's expectations.
- Can direct and carry out tasks related to job monitoring, invoicing, scheduling, and job tracking for entire assigned portfolio.
- Must possess valid IL Driver's License and be insurable by company insurance carriers.
Physical Requirements:
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties require maintaining physical condition necessary for walking, standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time; may be required to operate assigned vehicle; may be required to push, pull, bend, lift light to moderate objects (50 lbs.), carry, reach, and stoop; finger dexterity is essential. Maintain mental capacity that permits making sound judgments regarding work and have regular attendance.
