The Maintenance Technician I will complete all assigned tasks that are within the general maintenance field by utilizing the developing knowledge, skills, ability and desire for growth of an apprentice technician.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Repair and service all general maintenance items, including: door hardware and locks, window blinds, carpeting, cove base repairs, etc.
• Replace lights as needed
• Clean and unstop drains
• Paint and clean mechanical rooms
• Pick up and deliver parts
• Change air filters
• Install building signage
• Develop and maintain good business relationships with all tenants
• Keep work areas clean at all times

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED and a desire to grow in the facility maintenance field.
Language Skills
Must possess ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; ability to effectively communicate with employees, superiors and tenants.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving some variables.
Licenses/Certifications
Valid driver license required to operate company and/or personal vehicle to pick up supplies/parts and/or travel to other Childress Klein locations and/or attend company functions.
