Receptionist
Burr Forman McNair has an immediate opening for a full-time receptionist to work 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at its Hilton Head office. Responsibilities include:
- Operating the firm's phone system
- Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner
- Taking and distributing articulate messages
- Directing inquiries to appropriate personnel
- Receiving visitors and directing them to the appropriate destination, or notifying appropriate individuals of their guests' arrival
- Maintain various logs
- Communicating clearly, effectively, and in a pleasant manner while engaged with callers and visitors to the firm's office
- Maintaining professional appearance and demeanor when on the job
- Order catering for meetings as requested
- Scheduling conference rooms/maintaining conference room calendars
- Maintain reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner and report needed office repairs
- Proofreading accurately, efficiently, and dependably, checking for appropriate formatting and spelling/grammatical errors
- Maintaining regular, prompt attendance
- Working well with others as part of a team
- Assisting with other secretarial and/or administrative duties as requested
- Coordinate repair service calls
- Maintain working relationship with all delivery drivers and vendors
- Order supplies with direction from Legal Administrator
- Receive deliveries and incoming mail, log and distribute
- Take inventory of beverage/kitchen supplies and order as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned
The successful candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. He/she must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor and must demonstrate good grammatical, spelling, and punctuation skills and proficiency in MS Word. 45 wpm typing preferred.
