Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority is looking for:
Learning and Development Specialist
The Learning and Development Specialist supports BJWSA by organizing, developing, scheduling, coordinating and delivering training programs and activities. Works closely with departments on customizing course curriculum and job aids. Additional duties involve identifying appropriate assessments, training requirements, researching training materials, selecting appropriate facilitators, training delivery and scheduling training events. Interacts with community, local, regional, educational, and other utilities' staff. Reports to the Director of HR.
Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business or Public Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Adult Education, Business Training, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Human Resources, Business or a related field.
- Experience in a fast-paced business environment.
- Extensive experience with computer applications (Microsoft), desktop publishing software, and possess the ability to operate company software.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, dynamic presentation, technical instructional design, verbal/written skills.
- Prefer experience as a direct or functional manager, while serving as a coach and mentor.
- Must be able to exercise individual judgment while resolving conflict.
- Must have the ability to prioritize work effectively and operate under firm deadlines.
- Must be comfortable and effective interacting at all levels including Board of Directors.
- Prefer APTD, CPLP or PHR certification. Must obtain 1 of these certifications within 5 years.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Starting Salary: $25.82 to $32.26 per hour (depending on qualifications) plus excellent benefits package to include S.C.
