Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority is hiring for the following positions:

Revenue & Billing Supervisor - Overall responsible for supervising the preparation of utility bills, resolving billing problems, facilitating customer collections and direct supervision of the various billing functions including utility billing and meter reading. Reports to the Director of Customer Care and Billing. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent, with vocational or technical school training in business, bookkeeping, office administration or related area; must possess a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in utility billing operations, meter reading operations and/or revenue collection; a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience; Must possess proficiency with computer applications, possess excellent analytical skills, and excellent communication skills; Must possess a valid driver’s license. Starting Salary: $2323.20 bi-weekly plus benefits package.

Meter Technician -
Reads and records water meter readings along an assigned route that initiates billings for utility customers. Receives work from and reports to the Revenue & Billing Supervisor, but works independently when out on the assigned route. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent, with six months experience in customer service, pipeline construction, or as a meter technician or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities; Ability to read, write and perform basic math calculations; Requires experience in Microsoft Office with the ability to use software used by BJWSA; Ability to operate two-way radio, PC, printer, copier, fax machine, 10-key calculator and postage meter; Must possess a valid driver’s license. Starting Salary: $15.29 per hour plus benefits package.
