Sheriff's Technician/BCSO - $16.89 hr - Performs a variety of clerical functions which include executing and maintaining warrants, entering police information, maintaining fingerprint classification cards, operating imaging system to store incident reports and pertinent documents, as well as other related functions. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • High school diploma or equivalent • One year of clerical experience • Computer background preferred • S.L.E.D. Certification and Notary Public is desirable • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Human Services Specialist/Disabilities & Special Needs - $15.36 hr - Under the general supervision of the Day Program Director, will coordinate individualized habilitative, pre-vocational and vocational training and work-related support for adults with developmental disabilities, autism and other related disabilities at the BCDSND facility. Supervises staff assigned to work crew/units consisting of two (2) to ten (10) adults. Performs diversified duties within the limits of established practices and procedures of the department. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Associate degree or two (2) years technical certificate in Social Work, Sociology or related area • Two (2) years related, documented experience in working with people with Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health issues, in special education or healthcare setting, dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with no DUI convictions within the last 5 years • No convictions for criminal domestic violence or any criminal convictions for a crime of moral turpitude or which carries a sentence of one or more years • Basic communication, comprehension and math skills required
Equipment Operator 1/Solid Waste & Recycling - $14.61 hr - Under general supervision, operates light motor vehicles, bobcat and trash compacting truck for the Solid Waste & Recycling Division of Beaufort County Public Works Department. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • High school diploma or equivalent • Five months previous experience and/or training involving vehicle and equipment operation • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B with air brake certification required • Official three year driving history from the Department of Motor Vehicles must be submitted with application. Applications submitted without driving record will not be considered. • Must be able to work weekends and irregular shift hours. • Basic communication, comprehension and math skills required.
Surveillance Specialist INTERN/Mosquito Control PART TIME - $12.00 hr - Surveillance represents the foundation of an effective mosquito control program by collecting mosquitoes at strategically located habitats throughout Beaufort County, testing the adult mosquitoes for mosquito-borne diseases, and identifying these insects in the field and laboratory. The Surveillance Intern will assist the Manager/Biologist during field and laboratory studies and by accurately recording data. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • An interest in Entomology, Biology, Environmental Health Science, Natural Science or Public Health (Note: other experience and educational backgrounds will be considered). • Must be a university or college student (part-time or full-time) in good standing. Will consider a recent high school graduate planning to attend a university or college in the upcoming fall with the following documents:

2. A class registration or schedule
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to work independently
• Experience in field and laboratory preferred
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule (up to 20 hours weekly) during the spring, winter and fall as well as 40 (or more) hours during the summer (7:30am – 4pm, Monday-Friday)
