Deputy Sheriff/BCSO - $17.89 hr -
Sr. Administrative Assistant/Parks & Recreation - $16.38 hr - Performs administrative, clerical, and customer service duties; provides directions and oversight for other administrative personnel, processes and distributes various forms, documents, and correspondences; performs data entry and associated computer tasks, and assists customers by responding to routine questions or complaints, researching problems, and initiating problem resolution. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, light maintenance and cleaning when necessary. Minimum Requirements: • High school diploma or GED supplemented by college level course work. - Associates degree preferred • Five (5) years progressively responsible administrative support/clerical experience • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment • Must be computer proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher • Excellent customer service skills • Basic communication, comprehension and math skills required • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Records Management Technician - $13.45 hr - Primary responsibilities include document preparation, scanning, indexing and quality control inspection. Secondary responsibilities include records inventory, filling records requests, operating the MACHV microfilm digitizing machine, general administrative and clerical tasks, and provides backup support to the county mail courier. Minimum Requirements: • High School diploma or equivalent • Computer skills including: typing 40 wpm*, proficiency with a high-volume document scanner and familiarity with the handling of microfilm and its related equipment • Must possess highly detailed organizational skills and the ability to work consistently on tasks of a repetitive nature • Experience with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office software • Must be a team player who excels in goal orientated, fast paced, high production work environment • Basic communication, comprehension and math skills
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat is required; Adobe Photoshop experience helpful • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Library Operations Manager - $52,395 annually - Serves as a member of the Library Administration Team. Under minimal supervision, exercises professional judgement as Administration Services Coordinator for the Library System. Assists Library Director with tracking, implementation and reporting expenditures of the Library System Budget. Tracks and prepares budget expenditure reports. In conjunction with the Library Director serves a primary budget coordinator role. Identifies and coordinates system-wide training. Coordinates special library related projects as assigned. Provides strategic thinking to help position the library as a vital community resource. Supports overall library operations and services through projects and other duties as appropriate. Minimum Requirements: • Master of Library and Information Science from an American Library Association accredited school • Three (3) years of related library experience, primarily in a public library setting
• Eligibility for South Carolina State Library certification • Library system budgeting and operations experience preferred • Must be dependable, motivated and customer services oriented • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Computer Technician Support Specialist/BCSO - $ DOQ - Provides technical work regarding installation, maintenance, and hardware and software support (e.g. install, maintain, repair, upgrade) for personal computers, printers, faxes, scanners, etc. Installs and supports operating system software, (e.g. Windows XP, 10, and various Emulators), and Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc. This position may be assigned other duties as necessary and is under the supervision of the Sheriff’s Information Technology Manager. Minimum Requirements: • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Two (2) years experience • Hardware and software maintenance and repair • Working knowledge of Windows XP, 10, and networking protocols such as TCP/IP are required • Operation of various software applications

911 Systems Technician/BCSO - $ DOQ - Responsible for providing the technical support, maintenance, and day-to-day operations for the County’s Emergency Management Division, which includes the Communications and E911 databases and operating systems. Assists with daily operational functions of the 800 MHz radio programs, the mobile data program and equipment trouble-shooting and repairs. Administration of installed operating systems, installation of new operating programs. Assists in GIS/Mapping of E-911 addresses. Expected to exercise a great deal of initiative and resourcefulness with minimal supervision.
Minimum Requirements: • AA degree or Certification in Computer Science, management information systems or formal technical graduate • Three (3) years service experience in hardware and software applications, installation and maintenance or any combination of the listing • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license • No criminal arrests
Information Technology Manager/BCSO - $ DOQ - Maintain information technology strategies by managing staff; researching best practices and implementing technological strategic solutions, technical management, technical understanding, analyzing information, informing others, staffing, problem solving, data center management, developing budgets, coordination, strategic planning and quality management.
Minimum Requirements: • Associates degree or a higher national diploma (HND) in a relevant subject such as information technology, computer science, software engineering, management sciences or business studies
• Extensive information technology experience from entry level role, such as an information systems officer with experience within the field of project management, technical support, systems programming or computer operations to mid-level management positions, Information Systems Management or Information Technology Management positions • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license • No criminal arrests
Mosquito Control Specialist - $14.91 hr - Conducts field surveys to locate mature and adult mosquitoes, applies public health insecticides safely and effectively and records data accurately. Also, complies with State/Federal pesticide regulations. Minimum Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational/technical training in mosquito control, pest control, chemical mixing and pesticide application
• Two (2) years experience and/or training in mosquito control, pest control, chemical mixing, and/or pesticide application • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds • Must be able to work independently
• Must possess and maintain (or obtain within six months of hire date) a valid South Carolina Certified Pesticide Applicators License (including Category 8-Public Health Control) as issued by Clemson Department of Pesticide Regulation • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving record • Basic communication, comprehension and math skills required • Must be computer proficiency, able to work as a team member, have a positive attitude and be detail oriented • Working knowledge with Leading Eagle MapVision (data management) is preferred
Kennel Technicians/Animal Services - $10.51 hr - Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the Animal Services facility, including pens, cages, floors, shelter equipment, and other areas as needed. Also assists shelter staff with minor equipment maintenance, performs other duties as required to maintain a clean and comfortable facility for animals and staff. Minimum Requirements: • High school graduate or GED
• Must have compassion and commitment to the welfare of animals housed at the shelter
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting of 50 pounds or more, as well as bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching to clean pens, cages, floors, etc. in both indoor and outdoor environments • Ability to work well with others in a team environment • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays

Broadcast Specialist - $18.22 hr - Supports the Broadcast Department and Broadcast Infrastructure for The County Channel through videography; both in-studio, council chambers, the Executive Conference Room and other County indoor and outdoor facilities, live or taped in the field. Edits raw video into finished productions for broadcast. Will produce and edit a 30 minute monthly television program and may assist in construction of studios, sets and preparing video for streaming on the county website and in the duplication and distribution of DVDs and maintaining a video production library. Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred in mass communications, television production, broadcast journalism or related field
• 2 years experience in broadcast television and editing • Technical understanding of video production to include photography, lighting, audio, studio development, set design, elementary broadcast engineering, studio directing and tape duplication • Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written) • Attention to detail and deadlines. • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work as a team member • Must be able to work outside in extreme conditions • Must be able to work nights, weekends and extended hours
