Early Intervention/Service Coordinator - DSN - $22.26 hr
Provides service coordination and community-based training for young children with developmental delays and their families. Refers the consumers to other agencies for services as appropriate. Works in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team comprised of the family, professionals and others interested in ensuring needs are addressed. Performs diversified duties requiring judgment in the broader aspects of established practices and procedures for the Beaufort County Disabilities and Special Needs Department (BCDSN).
Minimum Requirements: *Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in child development, early childhood special education, psychology, social work or related field; *One (1) year documented experience in the field of early childhood education or one (1) year experience working with infants and toddlers or one (1) year experience with children ages birth to five (5) years with disabilities; Must possess & maintain, or obtain South Carolina Infant/Toddler Certificate; Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office, email and data entry; *Independent time management skills, strong attention to detail; *Ability to establish and maintain rapport with young children and families from a variety of backgrounds; *Excellent communications skill; *Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; *Ability to work flexible hours and days, including weekends and holidays in an emergency (Scheduled work hours are 8-5 Monday through Friday with possible occasional evenings and holidays); *Must possess a valid driver’s license with no DUI convictions within the past five years ; *No convictions for criminal domestic violence, any criminal violence, crime of moral turpitude or crime which carries a sentence of one or more years; *Bilingual preferred; *An extensive background check will be conducted on all applicants considered for this position
Library Specialist - Marketing & Communications Assistant - $14.91 hr
Performs tasks as assigned by the Library Director and Marketing & Communications Manager, including but not limited to, the following: Works with Marketing & Communications Manager on all projects related to library marketing, social media, data analysis, website and internal and external communications: In support of and in cooperation with the Marketing & Communications Manager, promotes and markets library services to enhance the Library’s usage, user experience, visibility and stature in the local and library communities: Assists with the creation of marketing materials through graphic design to be used in print, web , and social platforms; Maintains quality control of the Library’s brand throughout all locations and channels; Other duties and special projects as assigned by Library Administration. Minimum Requirements: *Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, information technology or a related field;* Marketing, public relations and/or communications experience; *Preferred two to three years experience working across a variety of digital marketing areas such as web design, digital media, social media, email, etc.; *Must be an outstanding communicator, capable of communicating effectively through email, social media posts, and other communication channels as needed; *Must possess a high level of professionalism and civility; *Must possess an ability to create, compose and edit written and electronic materials; *Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Library Assistant/Bookmobile - Hilton Head- $12.03 hr
Prepares and drives the bookmobile to various locations throughout Beaufort County on a predetermined schedule. Provides basic inspection and maintenance if the bookmobile. Facilitates the delivery of library materials and information to customers at bookmobile stops. Participates in the circulation of library materials to customers of all ages. Assists with off-site collection maintenance.
Minimum Requirements: Two years of college, Bachelor degree preferred; Experience in a public library preferred; Excellent customer service organizational and computer skills; Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a ten (10) year driving record; Basic communication, comprehension and math skills required; Ability to routinely lift 20 – 35 lbs.
Finance Director - $70,720 annually DOQ
Manages and coordinates the business and fiscal activities, plans, organizes and controls financial and management support functions. Responsibilities include: managing accounting support resources, processes and personnel; reviewing journal entries and budget amendments: reviewing financial statements and other financial documents; ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of financial reports and control activities and compliance with state and federal regulations, standards, principles, and business practices. Minimum Requirements: *Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; *Seven (7) years accounting or finance management experience; governmental experience strongly preferred; *Certified Public Accountant (CPA); *Excellent communication and presentation skills; *Strong computer skills, including Microsoft products; *Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Assistant County Administrator/Engineering - $125,000 annually DOQ
Responsible for and provide vision, oversight and direction to departments including Public Works, Facilities and Grounds Management, Construction Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Stormwater Engineering and Community Development. The successful candidate will direct activities, programs and functions to ensure that the Engineering Division is operationally, technologically, and administratively capable to meet existing and future organizational goals. The incumbent will provide leadership and guidance to staff, and ensure the division’s output aligns with the County’s overall mission. The successful candidate must be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of internal and external groups, and participate in a variety of meetings, committees, and workshops. The incumbent will also develop and manage budgets, and ensure both operational and personnel policy compliance. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, or closely related field preferred; Seven (7) years of progressively responsible director level experience in a large engineering or construction related department, including extensive, successful leadership/supervisory experience working with a diverse group of employees; Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills; Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products; P.E. certification; Valid driver’s license
