Zoning Analyst I/Community Development - $14.23 hr - Under limited supervision, administers and enforces the Community Development Code. Reviews zoning permit applications for conformity to code and issues permits as well as applications for development permits from developers and citizens for approval by the Staff Review Team. Performs data entry/recall for development permit programs, assists in pre-applications for minor subdivision reviews, and consults with other departments and outside agencies to obtain objectives. Reports to the Zoning Analyst III. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Two (2) years of college level coursework in Public Administration, Planning, Business Administration or related field • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license • Knowledge of the Community Development Code preferred • Ability to read and understand surveys and use an Engineer Scale preferred • Excellent customer service/communication skills
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office software
Marketing Assistant PART TIME/Parks & Recreation - $13.00 hr - (Part Time)/Parks & Leisure: Produces marketing materials and literature, composes written articles and promotional materials, and communicates directly and develops relationships with local businesses. Actively seeks sponsorships for the department’s programs and special events as required and updates and maintains content on the department’s website.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • High school diploma or equivalent • One (1) year of marketing experience

Assistant County Traffic & Transportation Engineer/$ DOQ - Provides technical traffic and civil engineering skills for planning, design, operation and management of traffic signals, signing, pavement marking and signal system projects for Beaufort County. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with concentration in traffic and transportation engineering and a passing grade from Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or a minimum 7 years experience in traffic signals and signal system design, timing and management • International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Traffic Signal Level 1 certification or obtain within 12 months of hire and IMSA Traffic Signal Level 2 certification or obtain within 18 months • Excellent oral and written communication / presentation skills

E911 Assistant Systems Administrator/BCSO - $ DOQ - Responsible for assisting the E911 Systems Administrator in the management of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office E-911 Dispatch Center and the Hilton Head Island Fire and Rescue E911 Dispatch Center. This position is to provide assistance to the E911 System Administrator for providing E911 operational and technical support for Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office e-911 Dispatch Center and the Hilton Head Island Fire and Rescue E911 Dispatch Center. General activities will involve the management and coordination of all activities concerning E911 and interfacing with the Public Safety Answering Points and related administration bodies as well as monitoring and verifying that the telephone system is compliant with all local, state and federal 911 requirements. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, management information systems or a related field • Supplemented by five (5) years of progressively responsible experience supporting 911 information systems • Minimum of two (2) years experience in handing E911 matters with administration bodies and regulatory commissions with knowledge of the structure and operation of PASP’s, and the ability to interpret technical maps related to geographical locations and boundaries • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
