Arkansas Tech University Department of Nursing invites applications for a Department Head in the College of Natural and Health Sciences. This is a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track position to begin July 1, 2020.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop, teach, and assess undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Engage students in high-impact learning practices.
• Effectively advise/mentor students at the undergraduate and graduate level.
• Develop a sustainable scholarship program including seeking external funds to support the program.
• Provide impactful departmental, college, university, and professional service to the university, community and state.
• Oversee annual faculty and staff evaluations as well as faculty promotion and tenure processes.
• Develop and approve course schedules including clinical rotations and make faculty assignments.
• Leadership and management for department and all Nursing programs.
Required qualifi cations:
• MSN, MNSc, or MS in Nursing.
• Doctorate in nursing or closely related field.
• Hold an Arkansas nursing license (or eligible to obtain one).
• Experience in a U.S. medical center in nursing.
• Accomplishments and experience appropriate for appointment as Associate or Full Professor within the Department of Nursing.
• Experience in an academic leadership role such as program director/coordinator, or equivalent experience
